Gord's father, Phil Tripe, and Pete Bonell (Brian Bonell's father), built and sold the Lazair ultralight in the late 1970's. After seeing the old photos, he decided to try and build a model of it. Using materials from the Dollar store and some small quadcopter motors, he flew it for the first time last Sunday. It was a success! Not an exact scale replica, but it looks good nonetheless. And flies well, too.
